Will there be a first year nursing orientation?
We are planning a face-to-face first-year student orientation at Camosun College’s Interurban campus. The tentative date for the orientation is August 29th, 2025. Exact details will be sent out via email in late August.
Where do I go for my classes?
Your schedule will list the day, time, and location for your courses. Biology and English classes are held at the Lansdowne campus. Nursing courses are held at the Interurban campus.
In my schedule, Nursing 142 lists many classrooms. How do I know which room to go to?
Students who are taking Nursing 142 are divided into smaller learning groups. In the week before school starts, students will be emailed these groups which will also indicate their instructor and assigned room.
What textbooks do I need?
Textbooks can be bought through the Camosun College Bookstore by finding your courses in the drop down menu (https://www.camosuncollegebookstore.ca/). A list of required textbooks for your nursing and biology courses are:

Are there extra costs during the term?
Yes, each student will need to pay for Maskfit Testing (approx. $70) during the fall term. There is also a registration deposit due for the winter term, 1 week prior to the registration date. This is payable even if tuition deadline has been deferred.
How do I get a student card?
Fill out the Camosun ID card form at this link: https://webservices.camosun.ca/events/camosun-id-card Make sure to check the box asking “Are you an HHS student needing a photo for a VIHA practicum Placement?” HHS stand for Health and Human Services and Nursing is part of HHS. This form can be filled out 14 days from the first day of the classes.
How do I know when school starts or ends?
